Yummy Baked Pear

Ingredients
4 firm-ripe Bartlett pears, peeled, halved, and cored1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats2 tablespoons Splenda Brown Sugar Blend2 tablespoons margarine1 tablespoon all-purpose flour1 tablespoon sliced almonds1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
1. Preheat the oven 375ºF. Spray a 7x11-inch square baking dish with nonstick spray. Arrange the pears, cut-side up, in baking dish.
2. Combine the oats, sugar, margarine, flour, almonds, and cinnamon in a small bowl until the mixture is blended and crumbly, sprinkle over the pears.
3. Bake, uncovered, until the filling is bubbly and the top is golden, 40-50 minutes. Cool on a rack about 15 minutes, then serve warm or at room temperature.

    This was very tasty, pears were soft, and sweet....only downfall was the "whole" to fold the filling coulda been bigger, next time I'm going to make the whole bigger and add the bits I remove to the filling! - 5/5/11

    I tried this recipe. The only thing I changed was the fake sugar to a packet of stevia. It tasted pretty good, but the topping never got bubbly, and never really stuck together. It was too crumbly. I don't know if I'd make it again, maybe if I experimented a bit. - 1/17/09
