Miss MARY Bobo's Tipsy Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients
4 large sweet potatoes1/4 cup Jack Daniels1/4 cup butter, softened1/8 tsp salt3/4 cup sugar (brown sugar may be used for a caramel taste)1/2 cup pecan pieces
Directions
Boil sweet potatoes with skin on until tender - about 35 mins. Remove from heat, allow to cool, and peel. Mash potatoes in a bowl with butter. Add 1/4 cup Jack Daniel.s whiskey salt and 3/4 cup brown sugar, mix together. Dice pecans. In a small casserole, place half of the potato mixture, then half the pecan pieces. Repeat. Bake at 325 degrees until hot through, approximately 30 mins. Makes 6 servings of 2/3 cup each.
