pumpkin muffins (healthy version)

1c whole wheat flour.5c unpacked brown sugar1 tbst baking powder2 tsp ground cinnamon1 tsp ground nutmeg.25 tsp salt1 lg egg slightly beaten2 lg egg whites slightly beaten1c non fat milk .5 c unsweetened applesauce1 c canned pumpkin1 tbsp vanilla extract30 gr chopped chocolate 60% cacao bittersweet
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place paper muffin cups in muffin tins. Mix all dry ingredients. Add rest of ingredients and mix until moistened. Fill paper cups 2/3 full. Bake about 20 mins or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on rack. It makes 24 muffins.
