7-Layer Casserole

Ingredients
1 c. uncooked white rice1 can whole corn, drained2 cans tomato sauce3/4 c. water1/2 c. chopped onions1/2 c. chopped green pepper1 lb. lean ground beefsalt & pepper to taste
Directions
Place uncooked rice in bottom of casserole dish. Add corn. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Pour 1 can tomato sauce & 1/2 c. water over. Add chopped onion, then chopped green pepper. Crumble uncooked ground beef on top. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Pour 1 can tomato sauce & 1/4 c. water over. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr. Uncover and bake 30 min. longer. Serves 6

You may top the casserole with strips of bacon before baking, but this will add to the calorie & fat content.
