Milk Tart

1cup flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon margarine1/3 cup sugar1 teaspoon vanilla essance3 eggs3 cups milk
heat Oven to 350 F. grease two 7 1/2 inch pie plates.
Cream Margarine with sugar. Separate the eggs. Add 1 yoke at a time to the creamed mixture. then add vanilla essance and beat well together. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingedients to the creamed mixture alternately with one cup of milk.mixture must be smooth. Add rest of milk. stiffly beat the egg yolks and fold into the batter. divide the mixture between the pie plates.
Bake until golden. about 30 -40 min. while still hot brush tops of pies with melted butte, then sprinkle with ground cinnamon or nutmeg and a little caster sugar.
serve cold.

I was so very skeptical when I started out. It is SO liquid and to stir in the beaten egg white is rather interesting, but the result was SO yummy!!!! The cake bakes in three different layers and looks great.
My only changes were to add lemon zest and to put the cinnamon/sugar on pre baking - 1/21/13
