Ingredients
1 large can tuna in water1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs2 tbsp grated parmesan & romano cheese1 egg1 tbsp light sour cream1 tbsp full fat sour cream******I made these last week and used low fat sour cream which made my patties kind of dry. Today, I added another TBSP of full fat sour cream (in addition to the TBSP of low fat) and they were much more moist than last time. A little extra sour cream divided by 4 ways isn't going to hurt. Next time, I will more than likely use 2 TBSP of full fat instead of the 1 TBSP of low fat.I've also substituted the sour cream with ricotta and greek yogurt. if the mix is too moist for your liking, add breadcrumbs. if it's too dry, add more sour cream or a substitute. I've also added diced bell peppers and onions as well. This is a great recipe to build upon.
Directions
Mix everything together and divide mixture by 4. Make into patties and place into a hot skillet with a tiny bit of oil. Cook until browned on both sides.

Makes 4 medium sized patties.

Use panko (japanese bread crumbs) instead of italian bread crumbs. Less carbs and more crunch! - 8/26/10

Although I had to substitute whole wheat bread crumbs and mozzarella since I didn't have two of the ingredients in my cupboard, these were amazing! It's definitely a new favorite of mine! (Oh, and I only used low fat sour cream as recommended in the recipe.) - 7/31/09

Terrific dish! I added a little extra bread crumbs and some diced onion, and used 1/2-and-1/2 sour cream and ricotta cheese, and also sprinkled on some salt, garlic and basil. *So* flavorful and tasty. Nice and crisp! A totally different taste for tuna. - 10/30/09

I plan to try this recipe tonight, but I think there is an error in your nutritional info...I have to watch my cholestrol, you add 1 egg, and even Eggland's Best Eggs have 175 mg of cholestrol, and 4 gm of fat and 70 calories. I'll try 1/4 c. liquid eggs with just 30 calories and 0 cholestrol/fat ;) - 5/4/10

i only calculate calories, fat, carbs, and protein in my recipes and don't even bother with cholesterol, sodium, trans fats, etc. so, no error.

Great recipe!. It's quick, easy, and convenient because it calls for ingredients that are typically in the pantry or fridge. I have also made it with canned Salmon and just for fun I added 1tsp.of lemon zest. My family loved it both ways. - 7/26/09

Well sine breadcrumbs aren't very low carb I used coconut flour (I was running low on almond flour). My patties started falling apart while they were in the oil, 3 of my patties held on but the 4th wasn't a patty at the end of the cooking process. I realized I forgot the egg. They were good. - 9/13/14

Very good. I substituted low fat plain yogurt for sour cream. Very very good recipe! My husband had a recipe that used mayonnaise and ketchup, this seems healthier. - 10/21/12

I thought these were great! I used Panko Chipotle bread crumbs, added the diced red bell peppers and scallions, and only had 1 Tbs. of shredded Mexican cheese and 1 Tbs. Gorgonzola cheese on hand so put that into the mixture. I also added some garlic powder and paprika for some added spice. Great - 10/17/12
