Dark Boiled Cake

Ingredients
Fruit/Spice Ingredients: 2 c. raisins2 c. chopped dates1 pkg. (Aprox. 3/4 c.) glace mixed fruit1 1/2 c. glace cherries1/2 c. hard margarine1 c. brown sugar (or less if less sweet cake is desired)2 tsp. cinnamon1 tsp. cloves2 tsp. allspice2 1/2 c. boiling water 1 c. blueberry jam (homemade is best)Dry Ingredients: 2 tsp. baking soda + 1 tbsp. water2 c. white flour
Directions
Mix the "Fruit/Spice Ingredients" in a large pot. Boil on medium low heat for 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside and allow to cool overnight.

Mix the baking soda in the water. Stir into the cooled "Fruit/Spice" mixture. Stir in the flour.

Ladle out into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 300 F for 2 hours.
