Pumpkin Date Muffins

Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour1 1/2 cups white flour1 cup white sugar or Splenda4 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda1Tbsp cinnamon1 tsp nutmeg1 tsp ground ginger1/4 tsp salt1 1/2 cup chopped dates or raisins1 can pumpkin puree (14oz / 398 ml)1/2 cup vegetable oil2 cups buttermilk or sour milk3 eggs
Directions
Combine all dry ingredients and raisins or dates.
In another bowl, blend pumpkin, oil, buttermilk, and eggs.
Make a well in dry ingredients, pour in wet ingredients and fold to combine.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tins.
Bake @ 375 F for 22-25 minutes - till firm to touch.
