Ingredients
SUGAR COOKIES2/3 c shortening1 c sugar1/2 tsp vanilla2 medium sized eggs (slightly beaten)3 c flour2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1/3 c milkFROSTING1 box (four cups) powdered sugar1 tsp vanilla1 egg3 tbs shorteningsmall amount of milk
Directions
Cookies:
Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until thick and fluffy.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk.
Refrigerate for 1 hour. Dough is light and slightly sticky.
Use pastry cloth, well floured and rolling pin cover to roll out.
Bake 10-12 minutes at 365 degrees. Cookies do not brown.

Icing:

Combine all ingredients, mix well.
Leftover can be refrigerated for up to two weeks or
frozen indefinitely.

    They're on the crisper side. You can replace the shortening with butter for a slightly softer cookie.
