Ingredients
Dough:3 1/3 cups flour1/2 tsp baking soda2 tsp baking powder1tsp salt1 1/3 cup sugar2/3 cup crisco1 cup sour cream2 large eggsFrosting:6 tablespoons salted butter3cups powdered sugar3 tablespoons whole milk1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
This recipe yield 24 large frosted cookies.

Preheat the oven to 350'.
Mix all of the dry dough ingredients together and then cut int the crisco shortening and sour cream.
Add the eggs and mix into a dough. It will be very sticky.
Using a tablespoon, place a heaping spoonful of dough onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet about 2" apart.
Bake for 10 - 15 minutes until cookies are slightly brown around the edges. Remove from the oven and cool completely before frosting.
This buttercream frosting recipe yields exactly enough frosting for 24 cookies.
To make the frosting place 6 Tablespoons of softened butter in a large bowl or free standing mixer. Mix until very soft and creamy with no lumps. Then add the powdered sugar gradually until completely combined. Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl when needed. Next add the vanilla and the milk. Mix until completely blended and smooth. If it appears too stiff, add more milk. (additional milk is not included in the nitritional information for this recipe.) Frost the cookies using a flat metal spatula or a butter knife. 1 frosted cookie equals 1 serving.
