Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Olive oil, 1 tbspGround turkey, 1 20 oz. packageOnion, 1 medium-large, diced smallGarlic, 4 cloves, dicedZucchini, 2 medium, choppedBell peppers (any color), 2 medium, choppedBlack beans, 2 cans (1 drained)Garbanzo beans, 1 can (drained)Diced tomatoes, 1 14.5 oz canCrushed tomatoes, 1 28 oz canWhole tomatoes, 1 28 oz can, drained and choppedChili powder, 3 tbspCumin, 1.5 tbspOregano, 2 tspUnsweetened baking chocolate, 1 squareSalt, pepper and red chili flakes to taste
Brown turkey and onion in olive oil using crockpot container over the stovetop, then add garlic. Move container into crockpot and turn on, dump in rest of ingredients except chocolate. Stir and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 (or until it looks done). Stir in square of chocolate towards the end. Season to taste.

This recipe was very good!...BUT as your crock pot should read right on the back.."DO NOT USE ON STOVE TOP" I broke my crock pot this way and had to go out and buy a new one! - 1/13/10

Hmm, I'll have to check. I inherited mine from my grandmother and she told me it could do that. Better safe than sorry though! :-)
