Tofu Parmesan

Ingredients
1 Pack of Extra Firm Tofu2/3 cup olive oil1 Jar of your favorite red sauce1/2 cup italian bread crumbsMozzerella cheesePam/ some type of non-stick coating
Directions
1- take out the tofu and cut 1/2 to 3/4 inch slices, making them so the largest surface is open (one block makes about 5)

2- pour the olive oil into a shallow dish, and the bread crumbs into another dish next to it. coat both sides of the tofu with the olive oil before adding the bread crumbs on both sides, coating fully.

3- preheat oven to 375

4- once all are finished, heat a frying pan over medium heat to sautee the tofu, browning both sides.

5- spray a lipped pan with pam. add approx. 1-1.5 tablespoons of sauce to the area that will be under the tofu. put the tofu on top and coat the top with more sauce. repeat for all pieces.

6- put equal amounts of cheese on top of each piece, adding as little or as much as you like.

7- put into the oven and cook for fifteen minutes, or until cheese begins to brown.

8- let stand for 5 minutes before serving to allow the tofu to firm up a little.
