Ingredients
48 hershey kisses unwrapped3/4 cup creamy peanut butter1/2 cup shortening1/3 cup sugar1/3 cup packed light brown sugar1 large egg2 Tablespoons skim milk1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 1/2 cups flour1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1/4 cup sugar
Directions
Heat the oven to 375'F. REmove the wrappers from the chocolates.

Beat peanut butter and shortening with an electric mixer on medium speed in a large bowl until well blended.

Add 1/3 cup sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy.

Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well.

Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.

Shape dough into 48 (1 inch) balls. Roll in the additional 1/4 cup sugar and place on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Remove from the oven and immediately press a hershey kiss into the center of each cookie. Cookies will crack around the edges.

Remove to a wire rack and cool completely. Enjoy.
