White Lily Biscuits

Ingredients
2 cups self rising flour1/4 cup vegetable shortening2/3 to 3/4 cup buttermilk
Directions
Preheat oven and cast iron skillet to 500 degress.
Cut together flour and shortening.
Mix in enough buttermilk to moisten.
Knead a few times on a floured board.
Cut out biscuits.
Place them sides lightly touching in the skillet.
Bake for around 10 minutes until desired doneness.

Makes about 12 2-inch biscuits.
