    Can't wait to try it!
To keep the dish vegan, I suggest adding my homemade sour cream - blend 1 package of silken tofu with 2 t. apple cider vinegar and 2 t. lemon juice. Use cup for cup in place of dairy sour cream.

For those concerned about it not being vegan, this is a recipe I made quite often on a vegan diet using some replacement items for the dairy. It is very good either way. - 1/11/15

This recipe is vegetarian, but it is NOT vegan. Vegans do not eat dairy products, and sour cream is dairy. - 10/21/11

Hey! Just letting you know that since sour cream is actually a dairy product... this recipe is actually vegetarian, not vegan. Maybe you used a vegan "fake" sour cream and did not clarify? I'll be anxious to know which one if you did! - 2/13/10

yes, of course I realize that sour cream is a dairy product. I make it both ways, with regular sour cream if it is just for me or with vegan sour cream if I am sharing with my wife
