Makeover Texas Chili

1 lb ground round1 lb Jennie-O Breakfast Lover's Turkey Sausage, bulk (not links)6 Tbsp Chili Powder1 Tbsp ground cumin2 tsp paprika1 large onion, chopped3 garlic cloves, minced3/4 tsp oregano1 tsp salt1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)2 Tbsp masa harina flour 1 8 oz can tomato sauce2 cups water1/2 cup warm water
In a large cast iron skillet, brown meat and turkey until fully cooked. Drain well. Return meat to skillet
Stir in tomato sauce and 2 cups of water. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, chopped onion, minced garlic, oregano, and salt and simmer for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, add cayenne pepper, if you wish.
Mix masa harina and 1/2 cup warm water until smooth. Add to chili and stir well. Simmer for another 20 minutes until thickened.
You can top this chili with low fat sour cream, low fat cheese, or any other low fat chili topping you like. You can also serve with tortilla chips.
