Honey braised red cabbage

Ingredients
1 Tbsp butter1 Tbsp olive oil1 red onion, sliced thin1 granny smith apple, core removed, sliced thin1/4 C apple cider vinegar1 tsp salt1 tsp black pepper2 Tbsp honey
Directions
In a large saucepan heat butter and olive oil on medium heat. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes. Add apple and cabbage and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in vinegar, salt, pepper and honey.

Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until cabbage is soft.

    This was not good at all & went straight in the garbage. The vinegar overpowered the whole thing. There is no cabbage measurement in the recipe so I used about 1/4 of a head, that seemed to be a good balance. Anyway, I expected it to have a honey flavor more than anything and was very disappointed. - 7/27/13
