Godfather Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

1 pound ground beef1 small onion, diced3 cloves garlic, crushed1 egg1/2 cup plain dry bread crumbssalt and pepper to tasteSauce:3 Tbsp canola oilmeatballs1 lb sausage, browned2 - 28 oz cans crushed tomato3 cups chicken stock2 - 6 oz tomato pastesalt and pepper to taste
Mix first 6 ingredients and form into meatballs. Saute' turning occasionally until browned. Turn gently so they don't break! Meanwhile, dump remaining ingredients (except italian sausage ) in large stock pot. When meatballs are browned, put them with the tomato mixture. Brown italian sausage and add to tomato mixture. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 3-4 hours on low flame.
