3 cups fresh or frozen and thawed berries2 large apples, cored and chopped2 tbsp whole-wheat flour1 tbsp sugar1/2 tsp ground cinnamonFor the topping:1 cup rolled oats1/4 cup brown sugar1/4 nonhydrogenated soft margarine, melted1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts1 tsp ground cinnamon
1. Combine the berries and apple in an 8-inch square microwaveable baking dish. Combine the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture over the fruit and toss gently.
2. To make the topping, combine the oats, brown sugar, margarine, pecans, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit mixture. Microwave on high for about 6 minutes, or until the fruit is tender. Serve as is or with a dollop of yogurt.
