Simple Strawberry Salad
- Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
Directions
1 tbsp. shredded parmesan cheese1/2 cup spinach torn into pieces1/2 sliced strawberries1 cup romaine lettuce
1. Start by slicing your fresh strawberries and freezing one day.
Then let the strawberries thaw in the fridge one night. After this they will still be a little cold, but easier to use. You need to do this to get the juice from the strawberries without making your strawberries hot on your salad. And there is no need for sugar.
2. Tear or chop lettuce and spinach.
3. Place 1/2 cup of strawberries in the microwave about 30 seconds(depending on the strength of your microwave.) *You do not want the strawberries to get hot. You simply want to make them a little flexible and you want them to produce some liquid. With this liquid there is no need for dressing!
4. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix!
Makes one serving.
