Ethiopian-spiced Lentil Soup

Ingredients
1 lb lentils1 lb light smoked sausage1 large can diced tomatoes1 medium onion, chopped3 cloves garlic, chopped1/2 c. berberewater to cover
Directions
Combine and cook over low heat until lentils are tender. Add additional water if needed. Makes approximately 12 cups soup. Serving size= 1cup
