Italian Bread Wedges

Ingredients
Bread:3 tsp active dry yeast1 c warm water (110-115 degrees F)1 tsp sugar1 tsp salt2 1/2 c all-purpose flourTopping:1/3 c Italian salad dressing1/4 tsp garlic powder1/4 tsp dried oreganoDash pepper1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/4 c warm water. Add sugar; let stand for 5 minutes. Add the oil, salt, remaining water & 2 c flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead about 6-8 min until smooth & elastic. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover & let rise in a warm place until doubled, approximately 20 min.

Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Pat dough flat. Let rest for 5 min. Press into a greased 14 in pizza pan. Spread with salad dressing. Combine the garlic powder, oregano & pepper; sprinkle over dough. Top with cheese. Bake at 450 degrees F for approx. 15 min or until golden brown. Serve warm.
