Silverado Taco Casserole

Ingredients
1.2 lbs lean ground beef1/2 can diced tomatoes1/2 small can tomato paste1 package taco seasoning6 crunchy taco shells (3 for bottom layer, 3 for top layer before cheese)1/2 tsp salt to flavor the meat.
Directions
cook beef and drain fat.
add taco seasoning with water (package directions)
add 1 small onion
stir in 1/2 can diced tomatoes and 1/2 small can of tomato paste
chop 1/2 jalapeno and add.
crunch 3 crunchy tacos and put on bottom of casserole dish. Lay beef mixture over the crushed tacos. top with the rest of the crunched tacos and 2 cups of cheese. I swirl some taco sauce on top before baking for visual effect.

bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. (melt cheese).

casserole makes 8-9 1 cup servings

Top with homemade guacamole, shredded lettuce, tomato, hot sauce, light sour cream, or salsa. I used all....
