Carolina Shrimp and Grits PK

4 cups of water1 tsp salt1 cup grits4 tbsp. butter8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese low fat 1% milk1/4 tsp. garlic powder3 eggs3/4 cup half-and-half1/4 cup chopped onion255 grams of shrimp1 1/2 tsp. herbs of provence1 1/2 tsp. cajun seasoning2 slices of bacon cooked and dicedAnduine sausage or kielbasa 159 gfresh parsley
Combine water and salt in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Gradually add grits and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in 2 tbsp. of butter, cheddar cheese and garlic powder.
Beat eggs and half and half together, add to grits. Pour mixture into greased 2 qt. casserole. Baske at 350F for 45 minutes.
Shrimp:
Saute onion in 2 tbsp. of butter in saucepan until softened. Add shrimp, herbes of provence, cajun seasoning and sausage, cook stirring constantly, until gray sauce forms.
Pour over grits and garnish with crumbled bacon.
