Spicy mixed pulse casserole

Ingredients
Ingredients:Mixed Pulses in water (Sainsbury's) drained, 410 gramsLentils, 100 grams, washed1 large onion, sliced1 large carrots, cut into large chunks2 stalks of celery, sliced1 large yellow or red pepper cut into slices1 tbsp cumin seed1 tbsp coriander seed1 tsp chilli powder (or crushed chilli)2 tsp mustard seed3 cloves garlic400grams tinned chopped tomatoes30 grams tomato puree10 grams dark soft brown sugar
Directions
This is a very siumple dish to prepare. Simply mix all the ingredients together in a large casserole dish and cover with cold water. Place in the oven on 140 degrees celsius for at least 3 hours. Check occasionally that it isn't drying out. Makes two generous portions - could easily serve three. Serve with crusty bread or baked potato.
