Beans, red kidney, 5 cupGround beef, lean, 16 oz Pork Sausage, (Italian), 16 ozOnions, raw, 2 largeStewed Tomatoes, 4 cup Water, tap, 3 cup or as neededChilli Powder, 3 tbsp Garlic powder, 2 tbsp Parsley, dried, 3 tbsp
Soak your kidney beans over night in your stock pot covered in water. Rince and drain and put back in stock pot with 3 cans of stewed tomaoes about 4 to 5 cups and put enough water to cover beans. Will have to add more as the beans cook for 4 hours. While the beans are cooking brown your beef and Sausage and add to the beans. Then add your onions and spices. For a zippier chilli add more chilli powder and some red pepper flakes. Cook the chilli until the beans are tender but not mushy. This is a great recipie to store in the freezer and put aside for lunches. Add some white rice if you dare.
