Cake:3/4 cup sugar1 cup Flour1/4 tsp salt2 teaspoons baking powder2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder1/2 cup milk3 tablespoons cooled melted butter1 teaspoon vanillaTopping: 1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup brown sugar1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder1 and 1/2 cups water
1. Sift sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, cocoa. Then stir in the milk, butter, and vanilla. Pour the cake mix into a 9 by 9 inch pan.
2. Mix dry topping ingredients. Sprinkle on top of the cake in the baking pan. Pour the water over all. (Do NOT stir, just put it in the oven as is.)
3 . Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until top springs back from touch. Do not overbake or the pudding on the bottom will dry up.
