Dahl for the crock pot

Ingredients
1 pound dry yellow split peas/lentils2 celery stalks, finely chopped1 large carrot, finely chopped1 medium onion, finely chopped 2 tablespoons sweet butter1 tablespoon curry powder1 tablespoon lemon juice1 bay leaf1/2 teaspoon salt3 chicken bouillon cubes2 quarts water (8 cups)
Directions
Place all ingredients in slow cooker; stir. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Garnish with chopped green pepper or green onion.
