Mag's Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients
1 c oatmeal1/4 lb butter1 1/4 c boiling water1 c sugar1 c brown sugar2 eggs1 tsp soda1 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp nutmeg1/2 tsp salt1 1/3 c flour
Directions
Place oatmeal, butter and boiling water in bowl and let stand 20 minutes. Then add remaining ingredients. Bake in 9x13" pan, for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. While still hot spread with:

6 tsp butter
1/2 c sugar
1 c nuts
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 c milk

Mix and spread on hot cake. Return to wam over (heat off) for 15 minutes.
