1 Pita Bread (Kontos Pocket-Less 5"-7")1/2 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) fresh tomato 2 fresh basil leaves 3 tbsp Green Bell Peppers 1/2 thin slice Boar's Head Branded Deluxe Ham (42% Lower Sodium) 1/2 cup Kraft Mozzarella, Fat Free shredded 8 slices hormel turkey pepperoni (15 grams) 1 thin slice Onions, raw 2 slices Publix provolone reduced fat cheese, 42 g 3 tbsp Red Bell Peppers .5 tbsp Butter, salted 0.25 tsp Garlic Salt
1. Chop the tomato into small cubes
2. finely chop the fresh basil leaves and add to the tomatoes
and saute very lightly, just enough to make the basil
leaves a little soft
3. melt the butter and add the garlic salt in small pan
4. Tear/cut the ham slice into small strips
5. Brush the bottom of the pita bread lightly with the
butter/garlic mixture and put on a low heat grill for appr. 2
minutes, just enough to toast it lightly
6. Take the pita off the grill and add the tomato/basil mixture
7. Add the mozzarella cheese next
8. Add the ham, pepperoni, onions, peppers
9. Add the provolone to the top (tear or chop into 4 pieces)
10. Turn off one side of the grill, keeping the other side on
low and place the pizza on the no heat side. close the lid
and heat until the provolone is melted (approx 3-5 min)
Makes one serving (7" pizza)
