Roman apple coffee cake

Batter:1.5 cups flour1 cup sugar1 tsp baking powder.5 tsp baking soda.25 tsp salt1 tsp cinnamon1 tsp. nutmeg1 egg.5 cup milk1 tsp vanilla.5 cup melted butter4 medium applesTopping: .25 cup flour.25 melted butter1 cup packed brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350. Spray an 8x8 pan (or bigger)
stir together all dry ingredients. In another bowl stir together egg, milk, vanilla, and melted butter. Stir together the mixes.
Peel, core, cut, and halve the apples.
Mix the apples in the batter. Pour into pan and spread evenly
Make the topping by mixing the ingredients and putting on top of apples.
Cook for 35-40 minutes.
