2 Cups Almond or other non-dairy milk1 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar3 TBSP Canola Oil3 TBSP Barley Malt Syrup (room temp.)1 Cup all-purpose flour3/4 Cup Whole wheat pastry flour (or just do all flour in all-purpose but that will change the nutritional info)1/4 Cup cornmeal1/2 Tsp salt1 TBSP baking powder1 TBSP cornstarchCooking spray if required by your waffle iron (mine does not)
Makes 4 six-inch round waffles or 8 four-inch square waffles. Serving size is 1 six-inch round and 2 four-inch square waffles.
Pre-heat iron.
Mix vigorously with fork milk, vinegar, oil and barley malt syrup until it is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Cook according to directions from manufacturer on your waffle iron.
