Meat-and-Grain Burger (from Runner's World magazine)

Ingredients
10 oz spinach, cooked1 lb ground beef1 C finely chopped onion2 cloves minced garlic1 t cumin.25 t cayenne pepper.5 t salt.5 t black pepper1 large egg2 C sprouted wheat berries, soaked bulgur, or any cooked grain (the recipe calculates for 2/3 C dry wheat berries, since that amount roughly triples when sprouted)
Directions
Mix all ingredients and form into 6 patties. Place in pan and roast at 400 degrees 20-30 min. or until done. Turn once or twice. The recipe says you can grill them, but I found they don't hold together well that way. Roasting works much better! :) 6 servings - and these aren't skimpy burgers!
