  • Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
Bring 2 c. water to a boil in medium size saucepan.Crumble 3.5 oz raw hamburger into water along with some chopped onion (sometimes I add some diced jalapeno pepper). When meat is brown (about 2 min,) add 1 c. diced (canned) tomatoes (I use an immersion blender and make it smoother, ‘cuz I don’t like “chunks”). Then add your seasoning: garlic & onion salt, black pepper, Mrs. Dash herb & garlic seasoning – let simmer 10 more minutes & eat! (I make up several batches and freeze them in individual containers.)
Directions
1 serving each

I've never heard of "browning" raw ground beef in a pan of water. How about browning it, then draining the liquid/fat, and then making the soup with all the ingredients...? - 9/4/13

The nutritional info is wrong; best you get to know what 100g / 3.5 oz of your chosen protein adds up to & never mind the stupid nutritional thingy -- they are frequently wrong!

For less fat, use ground chicken breast.

Be careful when buying canned tomatoes - look for ones that have no salt. - 7/3/13

This calorie counter listed tomatoes at 490 calories, that could be the problem. Without the onions (I don't mix veggies and I don't know how much you used but onion powder would work for zero calories) in my calorie counter it estimated 287 calories and you can use lean meat like round steak to cut - 7/29/11

The calorie count has to be wrong... 1 protein and 1 vegetable, not sure how that adds up to 700+ calories. If the calorie count is correct then I can't use it for hCG, Phase 2. - 6/16/11

Sounds good, Question though, on the 1 c. of diced/canned tomatoes, do you drain it first? - 5/16/11

this sounds really good! but i'm not sure how this is hCG protocol friendly? I'm definitely saving it to try it out later on! - 5/29/10
