Save-The-Day Quick Cake

Ingredients
1 cup flour1 tbsp mesquite flour1 tsp cocoa powder1/2 tsp baking powder3/4 tsp baking sodapinch saltpinch nutmeg2 oz low-fat cream cheese2/3 cup sugar1 egg1 tsp vanilla1/3 cup buttermilk1/4 cup miniature chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375F, grease a 9" springform pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, mesquite flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
In a large bowl, cream cream cheese and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla, beating well.
Add half the flour mixture to the creamed ingredients, blending in slightly, then add buttermilk. Follow with remaining dry ingredients.
Spread batter in prepared pan, smoothing to the edges.
Top with chocolate chips.
Bake for 35 minutes, cool completely in the pan before unmoulding.
