tofu marsala

Ingredients
1lb extra firm tofu1 small onion1 clove garlic12oz package of fresh mushrooms1 1/2 cups broth1 1/4 tbsp flour1 1/4 tbsp oliviooregano, parsley, thyme, basilsalt and pepper to taste
Directions
~set the tofu on a cutting board in the sink and put a weight on it to press the liquid out of it as much as possible while you are doing the other prep.
~dice the onion and crush the garlic... saute and set aside.
~slice the mushrooms and saute... set aside too.
~cut the tofu into 1/2" steaks of 1" cubes... saute until lt brown.
~make a roux with the flour and olivo and then add the broth.
~combine it all in the pan and simmer covered for 20-30 minutes.
serve over 1/2 cup of rice
