Potater soup

Ingredients
6 cups cubed peeled potatoes5 cups water2 cups chopped onion1/2 cup chopped celery1/2 cup thinly sliced carrots1/4 cup unsalted butter4 teaspoons chicken bouillon grnules2 teaspoons salt1/4 teaspoon black pepper1 (12 fl oz) can evaporated milk3 tbsp. chopped fresh parsleysnipped chives, optional.
Directions
in a large slow cooker, combine the first nine ingrediants. Cover and cook on high for 7 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add milk and parsley. mix well. cover and cook 30-60 minutes longer or until heated through. Garnish with chives if desired.

makes 8-10 (1 cup) servings. (about 3 quarts).
