Chocolate Chip Meringues

Ingredients
Beat 2 egg whites and 1/4 t. cream of tartar untill thick and foamy. Then beat in 2/3 c. sugar gradually, beat until makes hard shiny peaks. With spatual mix in 1/4 t. almond extract and 1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips. put on parchment baking paper 1 inch apart using icing bag, bake at 275 for 25-30 minuets, make sure you check them!!this is from Sunset Magazine Dec. 2001
