"Neiman Marcus" Cookie

1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened1 cup flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup brown sugar1 1/4 cup Quaker old-fashioned oats6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (half of a 12 oz bag of chips -- can put less if you like)1/4 tsp salt1/4 Hershey bar, grated1 large egg1/2 tsp baking powder3/4 cup chopped nuts (I use whatever I have on hand, mostly pecans or walnuts though)1/2 tsp vanilla
1. Blend oatmeal in a blender/food processor to a fine powder.
2. Cream the butter and both sugars.
3. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
4. Add chocolate chips, grated Hershey's, and nuts.
5. Roll into balls and place 2" apart on a cookie sheet.
6. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Makes 28 cookies.
