Watermelon, Tomato and Cucumber Salad

2 T Sugar2 T White VinegarPinch of Red Pepper FlakesPinch of Salt1/4 C Red Onion sliced thin2 C Watermelon (cut in small cubes)2 C Meaty Tomato (sliced in thin wedges)Cucumber (peeled and diced, remove seeds if desired)1/4 C Fresh Basil sliced thinSalt and Pepper to taste
Directions
Heat first 5 ingredients in sauce pan until sugar dissolved. Combine remaining ingregients in a large bowl. Pour dissolved sugar solution over and chill.
