Killer Shrimp

Ingredients
2 cans low sodium chicken broth1 small bottle clam juice1 6 oz. can tomato paste5 cloves garlic minced1 tsp. thyme1 tsp. fennel seed1 tsp. celery seed2 TBS fresh rosemary1 stick salted butter1 C beer2 pounds shrimp (shell and save shells)1 TBS. Worcestershire sauceRed pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
Makes 6 large servings.
Mix broth, clam juice, herbs, butter, and tomato paste in a large pot, heat to boiling. Take shrimp shells and heat in a cast iron skillet on high until they turn pink with burnt bits. Simmer for two hours. Add beer, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper, simmer for another hour. Adjust flavoring to taste. Add shrimp 3 minutes prior to serving. Ladle broth and shrimp into bowls. Serve with crusty bread and a green salad.
