Broccoli Beef and Rice

Ingredients
-4 cloves minced garlic-1/4 cup finely chopped onion-12 ounces chuck beef, fat removed, cut into thin slices-2 cups water-2/3 cup red pepper, thinly sliced-1/3 cup soy sauce-1/2 tsp ground ginger-1/2 tsp crushed red peppers-1 TBSP packed brown sugar-2 medium stalks fresh broccoli
Directions
* Cook garlic, onion, and beef over medium heat until beef has browned.
* Add all remaining ingredients except for broccoli and let simmer for 10 minutes.
* Stir broccoli into mixture and cook until tender.
* Serve 1 cup of beef broccoli mixture over 1 cup of rice.

Note: This has a little bite but it's pretty mild. My kids won't eat anything hot. If you like spicy add more crushed peppers. Also, the sauce is very thin. If you like thicker sauce add a little flour or corn startch.
