2.5kg.Amaranth Grains(Rajgira/Rajagra/Bathua)2.5kg.Horse Millet(Naachani/Ragi)FOR MAKING 6 BHAKRIS2 cups Mixed Flour1pinch Salt Warm Water for making a pliable,firm Dough
PREPARATION
Pick the Grains and remove the stones etc from it. Mix the two Grains together and grind these to a Flour.
Take the required amount of Flour,add a pinch of Salt and bind to a pliable firm Dough with warm Water.
METHOD
Divide the prepared Dough into equal sized Balls.Sprinkle a little Flour on a rolling Board and pat evenly into round thin Pancakes 7" in diameter.Place on a hot Griddle and smear the top side with a little Water.When roasted turn the Pancake over and roast on the other side.When well roasted on both sides,lower flame and roast on the open flame till puffed up and the two layers separate.Serve immediately for these tend to become leathery and dry when cooled. These combine Well with various Green,leafy Vegetables,hot,spicy and pungent Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Curries as well as Yoghurt based Raitas.
