Basic Marinara

Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oi1 clove garlic finely minced1 large onion chopped small1 28 ounce good quality imported italian tomatossalt, pepper and herbs to taste
Directions
1) heat heavy skillet over medium-high heat
2) add oil
3) add garlic, stir twice
4) add onions, cook until translucent
5) add canned tomatos
6) add salt, pepper and your choice of italian herbs (herbs optional) to taste
7) simmer 10 -12 minutes

makes 6 1/2 cup servings

for nutritional content I listed 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp pepper
