Ingredients
1/4 cup butter1 1/2 scoops whey protein powder1/4 cup cocoa1/2 teaspoon vanilla 14 cup maple syrup or honey (may need more)few dashes of milk if neededdash salt
Directions
Soften the butter and add the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl. Beat with electric beaters until desired consistency. May need to add protein powder or milk if needed.

    This was my first attempt at a made-from-scratch frosting. It was great. All of my guests really liked it. I did end up adding 7 tbsp of milk in total. This might have something to do with me using 1% instead of skim milk. Overall it was easy to make and tasted great! - 12/2/09
