Clay's Garlic Cheese Biscuit

Ingredients
Directions
Flour - 1 cupSalt - 1/4 tspGarlic powder - 1.5 tblsBaking powder - 3 tsbCream of tarter - 1/4 tsbMilk - 1/2 cupVegetable shortening - 4 tblsGrated sharp cheddar - 1/2 cupButter - 2 tbls
Mix flour, salt, cream of tarter sugar, baking powder, and 1 tbls garlic powder.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk and cheese.
Mix till moist.
Divide and shape into "patties" and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake, 425 12-15 mins (until golden).
Melt remaining butter, stir inn 1/2 tbs of garlic powder.
Brush mixture over biscuits upon removal from oven.
Makes 10 biscuits.
