Fresh Tomato Pepper Basil Sauce

Ingredients
Fresh tomatoes (3 medium) red and yellow, choppedFresh Light green long peppers (3 to 5 depending on size), diced1 large onion, chopped3-4 garlic cloves, diced1 bunch of basil chopped finely ( abt 4 tbsp)2 tbsp olive oilsalt and pepper to tasteAbt 1/4 cup or more to taste of parmesan, freshly grated1/4 cup half and halfPENNE pasta, or other short pasta
Directions
Prepare all vegetables as instructed.
Get water boiling for pasta.
In another pan heat olive oil over med high heat, add onions and peppers and cook till slightly opaque and softening.
Add tomotes and garlic ( and if you like it spicy a pinch of crushed red pepper here.) Add salt and pepper.
After a couple of minutes add 1/2 of your basil. Stir to distribute.
After another minute add parmesan and stir till combined well.
Next scoop out 3/4 of the sauce into a small bowl and add the half and half to this bowl.
Insert immersion blender into the sauce and blend till well blended.
Return to pan and combine well.
Add remaining basil, when it comes to a boil turn off heat and serve with pasta.
