garbanzos, beef shanks, ham, ham hock, chorizo, plantain, potato, sweet potato, corn, yucca, malanga, onion, pepper
Place garbanzo beans in water and let soak for at least 3 hours. put in pressure cooker with meats and seasoning, 1/2 green pepper, 1/2 onion. cook on high for 20 minutes.
is a stock pot, add olive oil, chopped onion, green pepper, celery and garlic and cook until translucent. Add laurel leaf and other chopped veggies except calabaza and simmer. Add garbanzos and meats. Simmer until it all comes togethr and veggies are almost tender. Add salt and pepper if needed, add calabaza. cook until calabaza is tender. Serve over white rice(optional) Makes 6 servings
