Ingredients
1/3 cup of oil 1/2 cup of water 1 teaspoon of salt 1 tablespoon of artificial sweetener 1 tablespoon of baking powder 5 eggs beaten together well 2 cups of flax seed meal - you can find this at most grocery stores in the baking aisle
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, pour the flax seed meal, the artificial sweetener, the salt, and the baking powder and mix well.
3. Add oil, the water and the eggs and mix those together well. Let this set for two to three minutes to thicken.
4. Form the Low Carb Flax Bread
5.You can use oiled parchment paper and pour the batter into the pan, once you have it all there, you can spread this out on your pan to whatever thickness you desire, but it should be at least a 1/2 inch think.
6. Bake the Low Carb Bread (we'll put this into the oven at 350 degrees for about twenty minutes) and you can pull it out and you just want to push on the bread and if it bounces back a bit it is done
7. Let this cool for about twenty minutes, and then take a spatula or knife and cut the bread as you like.

I guess I was thinking about a sandwich bread. This was okay but high in calories for what you get.

Also tried to make stuffing with it. By adding the broth to moisten the stuffing it broke the bread down and it became unpleasant gooey. I had to throw it away after that fiasco. - 3/1/13

I use this as a base for so many options; cocoa muffins, muffins with berries, savory with nuts or herbs even. It is all great! - 2/25/11
