Good trail mix guidelines, plenty of room for variety. My first batch has Life cereal, unsalted sunflower seeds, butterscotch chips, and a combo of mixed dried fruit and raisins. Yummy! Next time I'm going for Bran Chex - good way to sneak fiber into my diet. - 5/23/08

This recipe is great! I love all the variety it has. I immediately put mine in single portion Ziploc baggies. (60 for $1 at Target dollar spot) That way when I reach for it I don't worry about eating to much. - 8/21/09

I could not trust myself with a whole batch so.....using the nutrition labels on the products, I came up with this 1 serving recipe and fewer calories: 2T raisins, 54 calories; 1/4 C Cheerios, 25 cal; 1/2 oz. mixed nuts, 85 cal.; 1 T Hershey's semi sweet chocolate pieces, 70 calories; 234 calories. - 2/10/10

Calories high? Yep. Fat content high? Uh huh. BUT...
The foods in this recipe are good for you, and sometimes, even while watching your weight, you have to eat healthy food that does have fat and calories. As spark says, moderation is the key.
